At Frota Academy, we’re always looking for ways to make the entire training experience better for our members. Which is why we are constantly evolving.
With that said, we now have big news about the belt promotion system.
Up until now, our students have been promoted to the next stripes and belts during single-day graduation events. However, now we’re changing this system to a full graduation month!
What does this mean?
This means that white belts will be promoted during November.
And colored belts will be promoted during December.
Also, from now on, our students will not be paying stripe promotion fees. Only belt promotion fees.
Why have we done this?
This change will allow us – the instructors – more time to assess our students. We want to understand what you – our student – are excelling in and what you need to work on, in-depth…
And doing that during the course of one day (the single-day graduations) simply isn’t possible anymore; among other things, because the Frota Academy has grown extensively over the last couple of years.
So, the next belt promotions will take place in November (for white belts) and in December (for all colored belts).
During these months, we will be analyzing your progress, your technique and your game, as well as your dojo etiquette. We will give you advice and tasks on what you need to improve.
Because of this, you will have a more personalized guidance towards the belt/stripe promotion, and you’re going to improve faster than ever.
What do you – our students – need to do?
If you want to get promoted and if you want to improve even more, then it’s super necessary that you attend as many classes as possible during your belt promotion month.
This is important, because it will allow us to assess you in-depth. Which means a lot of BJJ progress for you and a possible promotion.
So, white belts – make sure that you mark November as an opportunity for promotion!
And colored belts – December is waiting for you.
