At Frota Academy, we’re always looking for ways to make the best out of the entire training experience for our members… Which also applies to our BJJ belt promotion system.
Up until recently, our students have been promoted to the next stripes and belts during single-day graduation events. However, now we’ve changed this system to a full graduation month!
This means that the white belts are promoted during the month of November.
And colored belts are promoted during the month of December.

This sort of a belt promotion system allows Frota Academy instructors more time to access our students.
We want to understand what our students are excelling in and what they need to be working on, and we want to understand this in-depth.

Doing it over the course of one day (the single-day belt promotions) simply isn’t possible, among other things because the Frota Academy has grown extensively over the last years.

Therefore, during the months of November (white belts) and December (colored belts), Frota Academy instructors analyze our students’ progress, technique, and game – as well as their dojo etiquette. The students are then given additional advice and tasks on what they need to improve and how to do it.

Because of this, our students have a more personalized guidance towards the stripe/belt promotion, and improve faster than ever.
