BOXING

Boxing is a sport in which two people engage in a contest of strength, endurance and will, by throwing punches at each other with gloved hands.

Boxing

Boxing is one of the oldest sports in history. Even though people have fought in hand-to-hand combat since the dawn of humanity, the origins of boxing as an organized sport can be traced back to 688 BC, when the Ancient Greeks accepted it as a part of the Olympic Games.
Today, boxing is perhaps the best-known combat sport in the world. It is both an Olympic and a Commonwealth sport, as well as a common fixture in most international games – and has its own world championships.

The boxing classes at the Frota Academy are led by world-class instructors, who pride themselves with ample fighting and coaching experience.
The classes‘ variety offers an opportunity for absolute beginners to learn the basics of the sport, but also for the more advanced athletes to keep improving in their boxing skills all the way to elite levels.
